Starting from the ground up, the new 3,000 watt inverter received a new SMT circuit board, a glossy exterior coating on the smaller casing, and a massive weight reduction. Front Components
On the front you’ll find: Power Switch (On/Off), Remote power switch (included) terminal, 120V AC outlets x3, LED Over-Load and Over-Temperature warning lights, Voltage and Amperage level indicators, and the High Output Terminal block.
Rear Components
On the backside you’ll find the massive Thermal cooling fan, Heavy Duty Solid Mount Positive (Red) and Negative (Black) Terminals, and the True Neutral-Ground Bond Terminal with wing-nut.
SMT Component Technology
The new SMT (Surface Mount Technology) circuit boards offer greater reliability, better efficiency, and fewer stray RF emissions over the older PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) and through-hole boards.
Reduced: Size & Weight
The aluminum shell casing volume shrunk 54% of the original, and the overall weight was reduced 58%! This makes for one efficient, reliable, beautiful, and lightweight 8,000 watt inverter!
Performance
Wagan builds our inverters with high peak surges that allow up to 3x the continuous rating to support high surging appliances such as tools, microwaves, air conditioners and refrigerators.
